One of the first buildings I worked on had a very large green roof (Australian Parliament) but since this was in the early 80's no one discussed the advantages.
Now I'm designing and developing a new apartment house in Brooklyn and I can't imagine not making it green (especially since my sons and daughter would never let me live it down if I didn't). I will be greatful for any help from this site and I plan to post all my discoveries, starting with two new buildings I visited in Japan - one of which literally became a green mountain in the middle of the city.
